After moving from Germany in 1991, Patrice Williams quickly came to love her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. An admirer of the beautiful Colorado surroundings, Patrice became interested in outdoor sports and activities. A former all state tennis player, Patrice enjoyed her high school theater program as well as the school choir. Most importantly, Patrice believed in the power of knowledge at a very young age. As a National Honor Society member and honors student, Patrice completed her high school career as valedictorian of her graduating class. She is now completing her final year at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in pursuit of obtaining Business marketing and finance degrees.

Patrice hopes to be successful in all aspects of life and she plans to always measure success by happiness. In her spare time, Patrice finds joy in doing impersonations, snorkeling, eating cheesecake, singing, swimming with dolphins, exercising, and traveling. Patrice values her strong relationship with her family who has been amazing in supporting her. “I thank you for teaching me the importance of keeping my heart and my mind in the right place.”Friends and family of Patrice agree that the best way to get to know her is to see her at her “goofiest.” With her natural ability to perform, Patrice loves to make people smile and feels that her charisma is her best attribute.

As a leader in her community, Patrice enjoys working with children and is most passionate about philanthropy involvement that is committed to empowering our youth. She promotes the significance of allowing our youth to dream and to work towards accomplishing their dreams; after all, todays’ youth are our hope for a successful future. Patrice is also someone who came from humble upbringings and understands the pains of financial tribulations. She finds contentment in giving to those in need and encouraging others to give with their hearts.

As Miss Colorado USA 2009, Patrice is honored to represent her home state, and hopes to make Colorado proud as she competes for the title of Miss USA in April. Patrice is dedicated to making the most of this year. “I welcome the responsibility of being Miss Colorado USA, and with this title, I want to be a role model for everyone I come in contact with.” She will be devoted to meeting as many people as possible, making countless appearances, and being involved in the events and charities in the state of Colorado. Patrice hopes that while the title of Miss Colorado USA enhances her life, she can enrich the lives of others.
